Module 1 ยท Lesson 1

The Eisenhower Matrix

โฑ 8 min

President Dwight Eisenhower said: 'What is important is seldom urgent, and what is urgent is seldom important.' The Eisenhower Matrix divides tasks into four quadrants: Urgent + Important (Do now), Not Urgent + Important (Schedule), Urgent + Not Important (Delegate), Not Urgent + Not Important (Eliminate).

Most people spend too much time in the 'urgent but not important' quadrant โ€” reacting to others' priorities instead of focusing on what truly moves the needle for their own goals.

๐Ÿ’ก Quick Tips

  • Block 2 hours each morning for your most important (non-urgent) work.
  • Batch similar tasks together โ€” context-switching kills productivity.
  • Review your task list each Sunday and delete or delegate ruthlessly.
